AMANDA THOMAS
I love to mix it up from the ‘norm’ to the ‘funk’ . I do cuts and styles for men, women and children. I have advanced training which includes color, color corrections and keratin treatments, which straightens and eliminates frizz. I also offer natural feather extensions that blend well or bright colors that stand out; glitter tinsel to highlight and sparkle or to make a bold statement. I also do straightening processes. I have apprenticed with platform artists. Through continuing education classes and seminars, I stay up to date with new styling trends as well as with recreating the classics. I am certified in all chemical services, such as color placement and keratin treatments. I love my job and the people I work with. Making people feel good about themselves and trying new things are my goals. I’m cheaper than a therapist, and you look better when you leave!
LUCY HIBBARD-PUGMIRE
Lucy has been in the industry since 2013 and has worked at Strand Central Hair since just before COVID-19 shut down Georgia. She graduated from Paul Mitchell Hair School in Atlanta, in 2013. She does all types of hair services but specializes in curly/thick hair, color services, and special event styling such as updo’s, formal, and bridal. She came to Strand Central Hair when she was 15 for an appointment with Amanda. She found out about the shop through her father and grandfather. They were long standing clients with Melanie. Eventually the entire family became clients of the shop! After High School she realized she wanted to do hair so she went to Amanda for advice on where to begin. This is the one salon Lucy always came back to in the hope of not only being a client but becoming one of the staff! We are glad that she did!
SKIP ASHLEY
A native of the Florida Pan Handle. After graduating from Florida State, I served four years as an officer in The U.S. Air Force. I moved to Los Angeles, California, starting my career in the beauty business. I taught cosmetology for 18 years in Beverly Hills. I polished my skills in all phases of the hair industry and brought them to Atlanta. I love our salon and would be happy to perform all of your hair dressing needs.
